We supported the trade media house Vogel Business Media (VBM) in taking the next major step towards mobile with a project to find new, originally mobile business models. In the context of an internal analysis, VBM’s previous initiatives were examined first. Subsequently, comprehensive external research was conducted on genuinely mobile business models in relevant international markets. The analysis ran along the publisher’s own focal points of interest, extended by transferable models from adjacent industries. The results were then translated into a ranking according to their prospects of success and their transferability to VBM and thus into a practical basis for decision-making.
